I love being both interactive and discreet throughout
the wedding day. There will be parts of the wedding day
when I will need to be in control in order to accomplish
everything that needs to be done while staying on schedule (organizing bridal party and family portraits).
There will also be moments when you shouldn’t even know
that I’m there (the ceremony, during formal dances and toasts, etc.)
I teach my couples how to pose, model and interact during
their engagement session so they are total naturals on the
wedding day and don’t need quite as much instruction
from me! I feel its important to have a mixture of both traditional and candied portraits throughout your wedding day. There will be sweet moments that will naturally unfold throughout the day while there will be moments that I will always be sure to capture like a portrait of the two of you smiling at the camera which is usually the photo that ends up being displayed in your parents home. Once I have those traditional portraits captured, I love to add in fun little prompts and movements which allow for candied reactions and emotions that bring out your personalities.
My style of shooting
I love getting to know my couples through an engagement session and its also one of my favorite parts of the planning process since it allows me to get to know them on a more personal level and for my couples to be comfortable with my style of shooting prior to the wedding day.
It helps them warm up to the camera so that they are ready to rock and roll on the wedding day! By the time the wedding day approaches, my clients feel more like friends and that creates a safe and relaxed environment for photography! I’m more than willing to travel for these sessions! I actually love it when my couples ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them!

I truly believe having an engagement session done , will make a big difference in the quality of your wedding photos
I average around 120 images per hour that I’m shooting. I love delivering my client’s files quickly and easily via an online gallery. You will receive a gallery for your engagement session and for your wedding day. You will also receive a mobile link of your gallery to create an app on your iphone.
Anyone you share your link with will have access to your images. I believe in freely sharing my work because that is what I would want if I were in your shoes!
sneak peeks
I'm just as excited to share your images from your portrait session and wedding day with you as you want to see them. Within 24 hours you will receive a handful of sneak peeks (usually 10-15 images) that I will share on my social media and will place them into your online gallery so that you can start sharing your images with your family & friends right away while the rest are being processed.

You will have the ability to print photos either through the gallery or completely on your own, share and download your images as much as you want for at least one full year.
I don't believe in having to wait a long time to see your images!

A collection designed to serve you to the fullest on your wedding day.
This collection will give you full day coverage if your ceremony & reception will be at the same location and you won't have traveling between multiple locations. If you will have a lot of traveling the day of or a full church service, you might need an additional hour of coverage or two. You can always add on additional coverage as we get closer to the big day and I have a better idea of your overall wedding day timeline.

Taking all of the stress out of planning a big wedding day and keeping the main focus on you as a couple.
You can be adventurous or as low key as you like, the options are endless. Wherever you would like your vows to be.
3 hours will cover your Ceremony and Portraits. If however you would like other events documented such as stepping into your dress, after ceremony cocktails or a small candlelit dinner, then 5 hours of coverage might be better.

While I always suggest having your engagement session done with your actual wedding photographer since it will make a difference in the quality and experience of your wedding photos, I realize that isn't always an option. Maybe you're not ready to pick a wedding date just yet, eloping at a court house or your wedding will be in a totally different country, etc... Whatever the circumstance might be, I'm happy to offer these sessions to couples outside of the wedding collection!

As a fur mom myself I know how special it is to include your fur babies since they are just as important members of your family. If this is something you're interested in, I would be happy to share all my tips and how we can make that possible.

The best locations from my experience are places that are meaningful to your relationship. Think of a place you both enjoy spending time together.
Sunset or Sunrise
Your location will most likely be the deciding factor in figuring out the best time for your session. I typically schedule sessions on week day evenings around the last 2 hours leading into sunset since this is the best time for locations that are generally very busy on weekends or holidays such as gardens, parks, beaches and places open to the public.
If you prefer mornings or if your location has the best light at sunrise because it faces East, then your session we will schedule your session around the 2 hours starting at sunrise. Depending on my availability I will schedule Sunday mornings or evenings also.

or taking walks in your favorite park?
This is the time to think outside of the box! I encourage you to brainstorm unique locations that you might have special access to that most people do not. If you have two locations you would like to shoot at that are close, let me know and we can make both locations work!

* Items can be added to any collection however items can not be taken away from a collection for any amount.
* A travel fee may apply to locations the extend over 60miles/1 hour of travel, for engagement sessions and weddings from my Virginia Beach, VA office. Reach out for details on your specific locations!
Wedding, Elopement & Engagement dates cannot be held without a signed contract and paid 20% non-refundable retainer.

An organized timeline not only will help your day flow flawlessly but this ensures every detail is captured. I'll walk you through what to expect for each part of the day from your bridal details to the cutting of your cake. After booking, I give my couples a sample wedding day timeline based on their ceremony & reception timing so they have an idea on what their day might look like.

Times can vary based on your ceremony and sunset timing. Consider extending your cocktail hour If you won't be sharing a first look but still want a lot of portrait time.

The best part is you don't even have to leave your house! We will meet via FaceTime, Zoom or Skype in the comfort of your own own home with your favorite cup of coffee or cocktail in hand. From there we will go over what your photography experience will look like and I can answer any questions that you may have about your BIG day!
If you both decide that my Wedding Experience is what you’re looking for, the next step is an online booking proposal. I will create an online proposal for you and when you’re ready you can save your date by signing your contract and paying your retainer fee.
